Broadcast email is the capability to send the
same email message to a group of contacts at the same time. This function is performed through the selection reports
function.
SELECT FROM THE MENU BAR REPORTS THEN CONTACT REPORTS
THEN SELECTION REPORTS
You
will notice a selection criteria screen in which you can create a
query to generate a report.
Use the multiple select pull down list to
select a field you want to query.
The options are limited to fields in which you have set up in
the contact database that have a pull down list.
For instance sales person or territory.
Then select the multiple select button to bring up the list of
the corresponding records that are connected to that field you wanted
to query by.
Use the criteria select pull down list to
select a field you want to query.
The options are limited to fields in which are not available in
the multiple select pull down list.
Then select the criteria select button to bring up the list of
operators to generate a query option.
For instance, an operator is greater than or equal to. Enter
the criteria data in the appropriate area.
You will notice all the selection criteria
you have created in the lower window.
Select the email button to create a broadcast
email
Enter your text for the email and select the
send button to send the email.
Also, notice that you can use form letters to
create the content of the email.
