Categories are used in the
item setup and are a strictly optional function.
This option is helpful to group items together as well as used
when you search for an item since you can search for items in the
invoicing, quoting and order entry functions by category, vendor, or
principle.
SELECT ITEMS/INVENTORY THEN SELECT ITEM
CATEGORIES.
Use the new category button to add a category
and the edit and delete buttons to edit and delete categories.
The system will warn you if you are deleting
a category that is used in a item record.
If you edit a category, all items with that category will also
be changed to the new category.
