Each employee can
belong to a Security Group. The Security Groups are:
1.
Supervisors
2.
Managers
3.
Operators
You can set up employees who are not included
in the above groups. However all employees who
need to log on to RETAIL ADVANTAGE each day must belong to one of the above groups to have
a password.
Any employee in the Supervisors group can have access to every form or
screen in the RETAIL ADVANTAGE system. For
example, as a Supervisor, you have the
ability to view Employee records, print Commission and Payroll Reports and
Add/Modify/Delete Inventory Products. Your
employees (in the other Groups) cannot view or edit these and other features unless you
allow them the rights through the Assign Security Permissions option, which is located
under the Maintenance option.
For the other groups, you (as a Supervisor) can define what
permission they have to the screens and reports in the RETAIL ADVANTAGE system.
*Note: Even if you do not plan to assign different security
permissions for your employees in the Retail Advantage Software, it is highly recommended
that you review the current permissions in order that you will be aware of the feature. (Go to Maintenance on the top menu bar, then Assign
Security Permissions to view)
