5.1 INTRODUCTION TO SECURITY
Each employee can belong to
a Security Group. The Security Groups are:
1. Supervisors
2. Receptionists
3. Accounting
4. Managers
5. Technicians
You can set up employees
who are not included in the above groups. However all employees who
need to log on to ADVANTAGE Salon Software
and Spa Software each day must belong to one of the above
groups to have a password.
Any employee in the
Supervisors group can have access to every form or screen in the
ADVANTAGE Salon Software
and Spa Software system. For example, as a Supervisor, you have the
ability to view Employee records, print Commission and Payroll Reports
and Add/Modify/Delete Inventory Products. Your employees (in the other
Groups) cannot view or edit these and other features unless you allow
them the rights through the Assign Security Permissions option, which is
located under the Maintenance option.
For the other
groups, you (as a Supervisor) can define what permission they have to
the screens and reports in the ADVANTAGE Salon Software
and Spa Software system.
*Note: Even if you do not plan to assign
different security permissions for your employees in the ADVANTAGE Salon Software
and Spa Software, it is highly recommended that you review the current
permissions in order that you will be aware of the feature. (Go to
Maintenance on the top menu bar, then Assign Security Permissions to
view) |
