6.6 SETUP CREDIT CARD PROCESSING
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software gives you the
option to process credit cards from the point of sale screen with your
computer. In order to process credit cards with
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software you must
have PC Charge Payment Server Software installed. You can order a
credit card processing package from AKNAF Software.
The processing package includes a new merchant account, PC Charge
Payment Server software, and a magnetic credit card reader. You can
also order PC Charge Payment Server software from us with out getting a
new merchant account. AKNAF software can just sell the magnetic card
reader for the loyalty cards and gift cards even if you do not use

PROCESSING INFO.
Only setup this screen if
you are using PC Charge to verify your credit cards on your computer.
Enter the values on this screen that corresponds to your setting in the
PC charge program.

Select User1 as the user name unless otherwise told by
AKNAF Support Staff

Right click on the Path Where PC Charge Running
field. Use the windows search screen to search for PC Charge. By
default, PC Charge Payment Server would be installed in the C:\program
files\active-charge folder on your computer

Credit Card Processor ID is a list of approved credit card
processors that can interface with
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software. You must have a merchant
account number setup with one of these processors in order to process
credit cards with
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software. You can get a merchant account number
with approval from one of our approved processors by contacting a system
consultant at AKNAF Software.

Time out in seconds is the time
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software will wait until
a credit card is processed from Point of Sale. We recommend the timeout
set at 90 seconds.

Make sure you select the SAVE button to save your
changes or select the UNDO button to reverse changes.
Please note that you must start PC Charge Payment Server software
independent of
ADVANTAGE
Salon Software and
Spa Software. It may be a good idea to put PC Charge
Payment Server software in your startup of your computer.
